I would have never dreamed that I could love my daily job as much as I do now. It has been a joyride since being able to officially call myself a Physiotherapist at the inception of Steenkamp Physiotherapy in 2004, which completely changed my life, and growing it into the multi-disciplinary practice as it stands today, with a team of wonderfully talented people.
It is said that you are supposed to change lives when immersed in helping people to heal, but I came to realise that my practice and the daily living around it changed and sculpted my own life. Each impacting me in their own way – my patients, their aches and pains, physically and emotionally, the friendships, even during the loss of patients after illness, the joys of hard training, rehabilitation, and relentless treatments which paid off. All of this makes life worth living for and enables us to stay hands-on, humble and really connected to our patients, in order to assist them with the best and most heartfelt path to healing.
Welcome to our practice!
